| About David As a child, David Henderson enjoyed collecting rocks. In the debris of Hurricane Agnes he found a rock tumbler which he used to polish his finds as well as do some amateur gem cutting; mainly cabochons. While in high school he purchased casting equipment and taught himself how to cast pieces in which to use his cut stones. After high school he moved on to school at Bowman Technical Institute where he learned diamond setting and jewelry repair. Immediately after graduation, he took the Gemological Institute of America's diamond and colored stone courses, along with the American Gem Society's selling and merchandising course. He completed the GIA gemstone identification course in 1984, and earned the title of Gemologist. Since then, he has attended GIA seminars on platinum and identifying synthetic diamonds. David has worked for several jewelers in the area for 29 years. In 1997 he opened Henderson & Co. Jewelers, and has since specialized in on-site repairs, unique selection, and the manufacturing of custom jewelry.
